In what ways do you think differently about Cecile by the end of the book?
In what ways, if any, has Delphine changed by the end of the book?
Were you satisfied with the ending? If not, what would you like to change?
Thanks for joining in the discussion of One Crazy Summer!

As I mentioned earlier, I may not like Cecile but I can now understand why she is the way she is. Delphine and her sisters have made a connection with their mother and they feel triumphant in that. I am happy for them.
I’m not sure what I expected from the ending. I knew this book wouldn’t leave me all warm and fuzzy on the inside so I suppose the ending was satisfactory.
Thanks for all the great questions. They were well thought out and managed timely. Happy reading!
You said before we began that you’d been looking forward to this book. It sounded like it was hard for you to read about a mother who gave so little to her children, but I hope your overall time with the book was a good experience for you. I definitely benefited by reading your comments – thank you!
